Default colors for the inks are: Amber - Yellow; Amethyst - Purple; Emerald - Green; Ruby - Red; Sapphire - Cobalt Blue; Steel - Silver.
If you choose one of those colors for the book itself, for visual distinction that Ink symbol will default to silver (or black for steel). For example, if you choose a purple book and an amethyst ink, the Ink symbol would be in silver.
